senior engineer manager is a tech manager role

senior program is a program/project role about cross functional collaboration

If someone is asking you to do these two together then it means they are asking you to do two different jobs with 1 salary, they will benefit in the longer run and you will eventually burnout from overwork

Brother, you make a valid point, but after my recent conversation with the VP (and my previous discussion with the director), it’s clear that this role will be focused on Program Management rather than Technical Management.
