Visa slot for dependent

I have my spouse included in my account on ustraveldocs/or the new site.  In the past we booked appointments together and we used this 1 account. Now, my wife is planning to travel alone and I am unable to book appointment for dependent alone. We tried creating a new account for my spouse but it says an account already exists.

anyone had luck scheduling visa appointment just for spouse?
