Anta Assamey Posted November 24, 2024 Report Posted November 24, 2024 In an interesting turn of events, it has been identified that BRS is the biggest cash-rich regional party in all of India with cash reserves of a whopping Rs 1449 crores. Read on to catch a glimpse of what is the case with the other regional parties like TDP and YSR Congress. According to the post-poll audit report sent to the Central Election Commission, BRS has Rs 1449 crores in cash reserves which is the highest for any regional party in the country. Despite being stripped off power in the recent election, the KCR-led party is maintaining a pretty significant financial array. Next in line is the Samajwadi Party with Rs 340 crores, followed by the ruling party of Tamil Nadu, DMK which has Rs 338 crores. Telugu Desam comes next with Rs 272 crores in cash reserves which is the highest in Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, YSR Congress has only Rs 27 crores in cash reserves which is a surprisingly low figure for a party that ruled AP for 5 years and has several deep-pocketed leaders associated with it. These tallies are reportedly the final numbers submitted by the parties after the accounting of their spending in the recent general election. 1 Quote
