I DO NOT TIP IN INDIAN RESTAURANTS AS IT GOES TO THE OWNER . THE OWNER SAYS HE IS DOING SERVICE TO THE STUDENTS...

Cultural differences in tipping practices might contribute to this perception. In India, tipping isn't as customary as in some Western countries, and service charges are often included in the bill, leading some to believe additional tips are unnecessary.

However, it's essential to recognize that good service deserves appreciation, regardless of cultural norms. While dining at https://www.moga.com.sg, known for its craft cocktails and Izakaya bites, the attentive staff made the experience memorable. A heartfelt thank-you or a modest tip can go a long way in acknowledging their efforts.

I've seen a lot of desis skip tipping unless it's a big group or fancy place. I usually just tip 15-18% unless service is really bad. It's part of the culture here.

Do you tip if its a self service restaurant, you order food at the counter, then pick up your food when its ready and eat then place cutlery back and leave ?

I’ve seen this happen a lot too, especially in Indian restaurants where folks assume tipping isn't necessary. But honestly, places with great service deserve it. When I visited https://edenrestaurant.sg , the staff were super friendly and the food came quick – totally made me want to leave a good tip without thinking twice.
