I feel so  for the loss of such a young life. 

 

This is making me a bit angry and sad. 

 

I understand that fanboyism and worshipping stars happens all over the world but India and especially south of India - has a very dark layer to it. Slavery. Thousands of years of slavery has seeped into the deepest veins of our bodies and minds.

 

So technically we are a free country - but acts of naked obeisance that our masses perform is indicative of the shackles that still constrain a vast majority of our people. 

Spiritually - the less self-respect/self-awakening you have - the more value you place on celebrities, politicians or outside forces.

I genuinely feel a spiritual/psychological awakening is needed. Perhaps parents should start this at home - schools, community centers, mentors should inculcate this in kids from a young age. 

Independence in thought and action is paramount for any healthy, balanced individual and as a natural corollary the society benefits from it.
