From January to August 2024, only 63,590 F1 visas were issued to Indian students, which is a significant decrease from previous years. This is the first time in six years that F1 visa issuances to Indian students have declined in the first half of the year. 

Overall student visas

Worldwide, student-visa issuances for the 2024 academic year fell by 12.5%. 

China

In contrast to the decrease for Indian students, China saw 72,516 F1 visas issued in the first half of 2024, which was a 35% increase from the same period in 2023.

Also TBH india is more IT dependant. Last 2 years ga job market antha baledhu and most of the students who graduated in the last years are still unemployed or sticking with internships.

Yearly 2.5 lakh engineering students are passing out of just the two Telugu states.. if you add engineering students from other states, there will be a lot more…
