I'm not a SME. But my BIL recommended not use COSTCO gas for my car which needs Premium gas.

costco is good, top tier ee like shell…

100 miles diff- its very very huge, 20 miles or so diff can be attributed to the additives that chevron/shell/bp use but 100 is too huge… something is not making sense here bruh

Your car manual recommends premium or requires premium?

I am using premium for my 15yr old car, been using the premium from day 1 .. 15yrs so far, didn’t see any knock issues or anything abnormal

Its all the same… the gas coming in your city or nearby towns for all brands (shell/bp/costco/chevron) are all coming from the same source 😃 just the additives they add are different…

 

Imo, you have to make sure you use the gas station that’s relatively busy so that you don’t end up using stale gas

also, important - dont fill up gas when you see the fuel truck is refilling the gas station as that would pull up the debris from the bottom and feed your car if you fillup at that time
