Ashwin’s role is limited to tests played in India only.. overseas tests lo Jadeja gets the lone spinner role bcoz of his batting.. though ashwin can bat, Jadeja is better than him.. after Jadeja scored a 50, he knew he is not going to be selected for the next 2 tests.. 

there are no tests scheduled to be played in India until late next year.. June lo England tour undi anthe.. he will be 39 by the next time India plays any tests in India

He got chances.. but Jadeja did better than Ashwin.. Jadeja is also not young, he is 36.. both Kohli and Jadeja are of the same age
