U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued chalans (fines) to 60 Indian students studying in Atlanata. The students were allegedly monitored by ICE for four days, working 17 to 22 hours straight without the proper work authorization. The news has raised concerns among students working part-time at gas stations, Indian restaurants, stores, motels, and other places to support themselves during their studies.
