why it has to be 1/0 always undefined or infinity?

Dividing by zero just means you are taking a part of something from nothing ,so it's an error and can't happen.

Even with infinity it wont reach the value of 1..it is a mechanical assumption..any mechanical machine you build it will count to infinity..it is how this universe is made.

when 1 is sliced enough times such that each piece is close to 0.  it just is infinite

It's undefined.

The value approaches infinity cause 1/number approaches infinity as the number becomes closer and closer to zero.
