Well there's more to the story. Some researchers have shown that in some cases the H-1B immigrants are getting paid MORE than equivalent American workers. Also there's an extreme amount of nepotism going on. For example, an immigrant from say India who is working in a big Tech company and has some position of authority wants to bring his brothers,sisters, and cousins into the honey pot.
