H1 lets get into reality…

1. H4 EAD will be for sure gone next year, so folks dependent on spouse job cut down your salary expenses and save. Prepare for potential elimination or restrictions in 2025.
2. H1 will stay but “High Skilled” will be redefined. They should be working on critical and leading role, high salary, and merit based more like EB1A or O1. work towards improving your profile.
3. Those working in contract jobs through consulting, try finding a FT role asap. Consulting is going to be dead.
4. Those working in which companies talk to your friends and clients and move to FT roles. You may need to break the contract but that’s a needed risk to take.
5. Consultancies and body shop owners make sure you have good documentation for all the transactions and payrolls. Stop doing payroll adjustments.

6. For the recent H1’s and for those on OPT and for those with less than 10 years of experience, be prepared do not make any financial commitments such as buying homes, rental properties, commercial investments and other business. Improve your contacts in India just in case if you are compelled to move.
7. for those who did multiple jobs with out paying taxes, be prepared some one you know or doesn’t know may start giving tips about you either directly or through social media. Unfortunately, Indians are jealous of Indians. If you mis used system be careful.
