Same anna, my uncle who came to USA in late 70’s -early 80’s had to take an exam in Singapore to get qualified for residency program, it was not easy back then not knowing anyone. That exam was eventually converted into USMLE program now. It is not easy either now for medical folks who need to pass multiple exams to secure spot for residency.
