'Obama India visit conspiracy against Pakistan'

Islamabad, Nov 12: JuD chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, blamed by New Delhi for masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attacks, has claimed that US President Barack Obama's recent visit to India was part of a conspiracy against Pakistan and China.

He made the claim while addressing a seminar in Lahore organised by a group of lawyers linked to JuD to highlight the Kashmir issue, US "interference" in Pakistani affairs and conviction of Pakistani scientist Aafia Siddiqui in the US for attacking American soldiers in Afghanistan.

"America wants India to stand against China, but India will never comply as it has been exploiting America," he said at the seminar yesterday.

Saeed contended that the politics of Pakistan's rulers revolved around the US and they had conceded to "anti-Islam policies."

No international organisation was working on behalf of Muslims and this has led to the conviction of Aafia Siddiqui in the US.
