i care more about cognitive bias which influences the decision making

in simple your cognitive bias shapes your personality traits

- Learned a lot by facing humiliation and failures and i think nothing teaches better than your personal experience in life.

I always dream of going back into the rabbit hole and pulling the plug to reset the early years of immature and ignorant life to a upgraded version of Matrix .

Whatever I want to do I research too much and then arrive at a logical conclusion depending on the info

this would mean my actions are reasonable and are well weighted against pros and cons

but sometimes I wish I could just go with the flow once in a while to reduce overthinking

Reminds of an incident with a friend which changed my outlook. 

One day at my friends place, his router was giving problem. He said lets go BestBuy and bought the latest one for x price. Done and Dusted. When asked, he said its just a router. If I don't like it, I will return and get another brand. Its for Internet, I don't care for other features. 

If it was me, I had to know all brands, all features, research, customer reviews. Get confused between 2-3 brands/models and finally check for deals and then place order. Whole process would take 1-2 weeks.

This is exactly what I would do, lol

I see your friend viewpoint as well, in fact, I have been trying to actually not spend too much time doing this research on some low cost items, like the ones we order from amazon for 20-30$ etc, I would just look at review rating, number of reviews and then if its looks decent then go ahead and order it , saving some time and effort, for high cost items and other things that I want to do, the whole process is still in place

It's other way around it's the personality that shapes your cognitive biases

No problem if you are a logical thinker you must have developed good intuition overtime so you can trust your instincts and go with it sometimes the probability of it being a good decision is high

Yes they do have personality even before they start thinking that they acquire genetically

And later their personality gets modified by environment and their personal experiences
