feel like the Indians POV is being overlooked here. The claims above are simply untrue or misconceived.

Indians hire only Indians is purely based on 7/11 hiring spree bullshit. As an Indian, trust me when I say - no Indian wanna work with another Indian unless it’s a 7/11 job. So yeah, that myth is based on purely anecdotal experiences.

80% Recruiters are Caucasians/Asians. I can hardly see an Indian recruiter. (does that mean they recruit only them?). So if Indians even get into the Hiring pipeline, it’s totally because of those race, not Indians. Meaning Caucasians decide who gets to interview in the first place. Even in the worst case, let’s assume an Indian is the hiring manager. Its stupid to think one single Indian will randomly override the entire interview feedback provided by several engineers, risking their job, just to hire a totally random Indian stranger. Thats just not how corporate works. Dont bring your conspiracy theories and personal experiences. I have so many personal experiences of Indians *** me over rather than helping me. Also, Indians hate on other Indians. We hate each other more than yall hate us combined.

Dont cite some stupid low hanging jobs in consultancies based on your personal experience where one guy had the power to hire based on their preference. Then, anyone would have abused to employ their friend regardless of race.

H1B is open to all. Every race can apply. There’s no limit on the number of applications, but rather only the cap on approvals. So it’s only natural that if Indian companies/Indians apply for 3/4th of H1b visas, 80% will be Indians. Indians constitute highest number of International students exercising OPT and everyone will attempt for H1B. So why is it even a shock that 80% of H1B is Indians because thats how many applicants came from India/Indians.

I am aghast at the racism here in the comments. If the statement says “stop hiring Indians” that is enough to know the racist intent. No amount of facts will let these racist folks change their views.

First go find out how many Indians enroll in American universities in computer and electrical engineering for masters programs and then comment here.

Go find out how many people of what ethnicity apply to engineering jobs. Go talk to a recruiter.

Go find out how these Indians are performing in their jobs and progressing in their careers.

It’s because of the Reddit demographic. The reality is there are a lot of losers in tech who went and got a CS degree during the golden age because they grew up on thier computer, browsing Reddit and playing video games, but when they hit the job market it was over saturated will tons of resumes identical to theirs, with nothing but a CS degree from a UC, some leetcode problems, and a tic tac toe project.

But now they are being told that it’s not their fault they aren’t getting the 6 figure FANG job they were promised, they aren’t uncompetitive, it’s just that those brown immigrants are stealing thier jobs instead.
