Trump Announces Formation of External Revenue Service to Collect Tariffs and Potentially Abolish IRS

President Trump announced in a statement Tuesday that he will create an External Revenue Service to counter the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) taxation of American citizens.

This new agency will ” collect our Tariffs, Duties, and all Revenue that come from Foreign sources,” said Trump.

Trump says his inauguration, “January 20, 2025, will be the birth date of the External Revenue Service.”

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social Tuesday, saying:

For far too long, we have relied on taxing our Great People using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Through soft and pathetically weak Trade agreements, the American Economy has delivered growth and prosperity to the World, while taxing ourselves. It is time for that to change. I am today announcing that I will create the EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE to collect our Tariffs, Duties, and all Revenue that come from Foreign sources. We will begin charging those that make money off of us with Trade, and they will start paying, FINALLY, their fair share. January 20, 2025, will be the birth date of the External Revenue Service. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Trump has proposed tariffs on foreign imports to replace revenue from and the burden imposed on Americans by income taxes.

It is unclear what he plans to do with the IRS upon taking office next Monday.

However, Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency co-head Elon Musk has said that he will turn the tables on the organization and audit the Internal Revenue

Service.

I agree with foreign countries taking advantage. But it has nothing to do with IRS. He uses one truth and then brings something completely unrelated to make his case. IRS abolishment will make this country go to dogs!!!

nenu anedi US govt for outgoing meeda 30% tax anna....already India 30% tax RBI collect chestundi even after providing the valid source of money so same rule veelu apply chestey sagam problem solve avutadi....oka india kaadu there are many countries sending money from us to other countries.
