Skill Case: Babu Gets Huge Relief @ Supreme Court

The highly controversial skill case that was filed against Chandrababu Naidu by the previous YSR Congress Government has reached the Supreme Court now. However, the Supreme Court’s judgement is very much in favour of Chandrababu now.

Earlier, the AP government, which was led by the then CM Jagan Mohan Reddy filed a petition at the Supreme Court with regard to the skill scam case that was filed against Chandrababu. Their petition was to cancel the bail that was granted to Chandrababu back in November, 2023. 

Despite the uprooting of the YCP government, this bail cancellation petition that was filed at the Supreme Court continued with the legal proceedings. This case came to a crucial penultimate hearing today and the judgement is entirely in favour of Babu now. 

The bail cancellation petition that was filed by the previous government was dismissed by the Supreme Court. Justice Bela Trivedi stated that the chargesheet has been filed already and the investigation is also underway so there’s no reason to cancel the bail granted to Chandrababu at this point in time. 

This bail cancellation petition that was filed at the Supreme Court could have potentially been detrimental to Chandrababu had YCP won again. But that didn’t happen, and subsequently, the case originally filed by the government got nullified with time before it was finally dismissed today.
