YSRCP spokesman quits party, joins BJP

Prominent YSR Congress party leader and national spokesperson of the party K Ravichandra Reddy on Saturday resigned from the party and within hours, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Ravichandra Reddy, who hails from Gudur constituency in Nellore district, sent his resignation letter to YSRCP president and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy saying he was quitting the party post and the primary membership.

Known for his eloquence in debates, Ravichandra had previously served as the chairman of the Trade Promotion Corporation during YSRCP's tenure. He thanked Jagan for giving him an opportunity to serve the people.

Shortly after submitting his resignation to CM Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Ravichandra joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of State BJP President Daggubati Purandeswari and Minister Y. Satyakumar. 

He was formally inducted into the party with the BJP membership card handed over to him.
