Why are Tamil actors more darker?

Like Vijaykanth, rajinikanth etc., they’re more darker than chiranjeevi, balakrishna etc. Why exactly?

They are more close to equator.

an avg telugu guy is darker...

tamilians prefer nativity... where as telugu audience give importance to fairness..

Some Tamil peoplehave lot of mixup with Srilanka in the past and Southern states are hot. Telugu people love fair and lovely and have great preference to color than character

Telugu people are a little lighter than tamils on average but tamils usually are more progressive than telugu people,they don't care about color as much as telugu people do.
