This may not happen. Trump himself renegotiated NAFTA 2.0 or USMCA.  Canada tariffs stuff is altogether a different act. He wants to buy up Canada and get the deal for cheap.Canada and US has FTA since 80s even before Mexico joined

The idea was to form the North American Union, backed by AMERO replacing dollar. It's a part of NWO plan.
