at this point the only contention will be if the EO stands or strikes down. There will be no middle ground. Supreme court will not change the EO language nor suggest who it will be applicable to. They will only evaluate if the EO is constitutional or unconstitutional. If they say that the EO is not violating the constitution then it's game over..

If they give decision in local courts. It will be challenged in higher courts by maga?  What happens in interim between lower court to higher court ?

There are arguments to either side. Right now children of foreign diplomats are not given citizenship even if they are born in US because they are not full US subjects.. same way Illegal immigrants and temporary migrants are not full US subjects because the foreign countries still have some control over these people ani they can argue, like even if you are living in US because you hold a foreign country passport and tomorrow if there is a war the foreign government can ask you to return and get drafted into the war.  Only when they become permanent residents or citizens vallu full US subjects avtaru in reps will argue. honestly the ball is now in the supreme court judge's court and they seem to heavily favor trump..

It is a given that some local or federal court will give a temporary stay on the EO.. But still since Department of Homeland Security is directly answerable to the president and they might decide not to issue passports to the kids born while the matter is in courty. When there is a hold on EO they might decide to give something like a temporary protected status to the kids born to illegal immigrants or temporary workers and vistors.  when the EO goes to supreme court and if the supreme court upholds the EO then all the kids born to illegal immigrants or temporary workers 30 days from now will lose their temporary protected status and they have to apply for foreign citizenship. If the EO is struck down in the supreme court then all these temporary protected status kids can apply for US passport.
