kool_buddi Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Apply for passport renewal in tatkal and then travel to india with new passport. You will get passport back in 10days. Its a straight process and vfs is handling it now. Check their website for instructions and pick their options to pay fee online including shipping labels instead of money order or your own labels. Dont worry about old passport number on your visa appointment site. They will update at VAC on dropbox date, but try to use new passport number on ds 160. 1 Quote

Visa i797 validity varaku istaru...I94 until your passport expiry. Best option is to renew your passport in India. Passport renewal not possible ayite after coming back to US, renew your passport and go to deferred inspection site which is most likely at your nearest International airport with all the documents (hard copies only) and get your i94 updated https://www.cbp.gov/about/contact/ports/deferred-inspection-sites Quote
