I haven't traveled through GC/Citizen line in a long time. But when I did, I had to show my green card and passport. In global entry line, you don't need to show or scan any document.

I just travelled few months back. Entered GC line CBP officer did not take passport or GC. Just took the photo and a green tickmark and allowed.

Possible. I remember the line used to be longer for it though. But it is not as bad as Visa line.

Line was longer but it was quick. If not a frequent international traveller and extra 5-10minutes doesnt matter then global entry is not worth for GC/Citizen. TSA Pre is sufficient.

I got it because it is free with my CC. You get TSA Pre with global entry.

Yes handy untadi, also comes with free TSA.

Only thing is if you are traveling with kids, even kids will have to be enrolled in the program.

Heard that you dont get the card if not GC or Citizen, only get TSA number and that should be good, not sure but someone who got recently on H1 can confirm.
