adi kaadu baa point. We have the right to not identify ourselves if we did not commit a crime under the fifth amendment. So, how are they going to prove that someone is illegal? They need to reasonably articulate their suspicion before asking to identify someone.

Guys don't worry about draconian measures....Senate has passed Senate version of the bill. The house has passed house version of the bill.

However, for the bill to become law, both versions from the House (H.R. 29) and the Senate (S. 5) must be reconciled, which could involve the bill going to a conference committee. After reconciliation, it would require another vote in both chambers to pass the final version before being sent to the President for signing or vetoing.

As of now, while significant progress has been made, the Act has not yet been officially passed into law. The process could be influenced by further Senate amendments or House considerations, indicating that the final passage might still require additional steps or could face further political maneuvering.

Tomorrow will be signed by president. Miller will be salivating to use this against temporary workers.

LOL....chaala simple gaa Indians ki rod annamaata!

this will be used to blackmail India on various foreign policy issues!

As long as Indian govt accepts its deportees, it is fine!

What if say Congress party comes to power & wants to bring Indian tech companies to its knees?

Simple: stop accepting deportees....all visas will be banned!

Kastame ila aithe US tho relations!! India seriously needs to revamp its foreign policy instead of sucking up to the US!

@CanadianMalodu @Spartan

Jaishankar told today..

India is ready to accept the deportees if they deem illegal to US .. (conditional based off course if they are indian citizens only)
