Indian parents visiting their children in the US were denied entry at Newark Airport for not having return tickets. The couple had travelled on B-1/B-2 visitor visas with plans to stay for five months. However, upon arrival, immigration officials informed them that a return ticket was now mandatory under the new 2025 regulations.

I would send them immediately back if I was the officer if they such thoughts

its ridiculous not to book return tickets

even the small countries ask return tickets. Considering the real situation who on earth don’t book return tickets?

I understand your point...back in olden days, british airways, lufthansa, klm etc used to change dates for free...now everything is commercial...they are asking change fee plus fare difference...

Okay... I think it might be language barrier.. they are not able to explain to them properly... I do not know whether the officer has given the chance having language translator or not...
