Armanii Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Let’s say - Person X - bought 100 units of mutual fund A in 2023 at around 20$ (2000$) 100 more in 2024 at around 50$ (5000$) As on today, Fund value is $100 - so it is $200,000 value let’s say - fund no way falls below 50$ is it still good to sell off 100 units for $100,000 value and buy again for same $100,000 if it comes to around 75$ Quote

Numbers are off. Are you talking India MFs or US? Quote
Konebhar6 Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 The best strategy for Indian MFs is to do SIP and let your fund grow. If there is a big drop, add lumpsum and let the honeypot grow. If you are good at technicals and anticipate a downside, you can keep booking profits based on resistance levels (30-50% of holdings) and buy them back at lower support levels. Quote
