Indian Govt. purposefully killed the Engineering Colleges quality by approving every gulli college essentially creating a glut of supply as cheap labour for BPO units of the West. 

Those that worked in BPOs naturally saw US as the honey pot. Then from Obozo times, many started taking loans coming to US for MS and getting jobs without much hustle mostly through these Desi mesthri shops. This created a peer pressure back home. 

Now, every grad student wants to be here without even doing a minimal SWOT analysis. Easy way get a loan and come to US. Now that market is slowing down, those that can't make it accepted their fate, went illegal and are trying to make as much as they can while they are in the US. Worst case if they get caught and are reported  they don't have to worry about money.

That’s no surprise. Even today, there are some Gujaratis and punjabis who come to US on F1 and over stay…the whole intention is to land in US. First they try visit because that’s the cheapest way…then F1, Dependents, Religious and nothing works then donkey route…

Every year you will have 85,000 H-1Bs. Migatha desalaki oka 10K ichina, manaki 75K. India nundi per year oka 2,00,000 mandi vastunnaru. 

 

Let's assume, ee 2,00,000 lo oka 75K married to another 75K and converted to H4. We will still have 50K left. Out of this 50K oka 25K back to India vellina, we still have about 25K left yearly. 

 

This is based on very conservative estimates.
