in my opinion, india should not waste time and money on AI race

that phase is gone, even though if india makes a awesome model the return advantage is nothing, it appears as they did and we did. AI race is moving towards open source so there wont be any patent or proprietary advantage as well if there is any tech inventions 

instead, find the india strength where we are making progress, invest there for ground braking results

make in india initiative is good but it appears to me aiming for international exports (pharma, automobile, electronics or textiles) which is not giving any advantage because of geo political reasons 

instead, if india starts making products for domestic consumption that would be a perfect baby step, and it will exclude lot of imports 

for example, all agriculture machinery we are importing from china or some other country, those things can be replaced by india manufactured products 

make in india doesn’t happen overnight, Japanese companies like mitsubishi or korean companies like samsung or hyundai..etc started their journey by addressing the domestic needs first , then they expanded globally
