Excessive ? Of course it is….Car is not a minimum requirement in India and is pricier…There is an incentive for smaller cars, green and EV cars…gas guzzlers are taxed very high…In a country like India, you cannot sell cars and fuel for cheap ra vaari….fuel is expensive affair and an imported commondity, just to maintain roads and fuel infra/logistics investments itself runs into thousands of crores and in such a scenario, you cannot sell cars for cheap…18% is perfect and nominal, ademi food and raw maerials or life savig drugs kaadu

You had a completely if the inflation is 8 percentage and they give you a salary I call 5 percentage in fact you you are getting paid very less compared to the inflation so you are at a loss not at a profit

GST is minimal for Electric Cars. Subsidy being given for solar panels.

If people want to indulge in Anti India behaviour by buying petrol car which leads to money going outside to import crude oil and heavy air pollution inside cities(And then these idiots blame government for that too), they need to be taxed heavy.

buying a ice car is anti India behavior. So anyone buying goods that are imported is an anti-national. Brilliant thought process.

Culture of our people worst. India's main problem is its people.

They like to blame government for everything. But they don't want to make minor adjustments for betterment of their community. How many people blame government is not doing anything on pollution. Government is doing whatever it can.

 

Lets take another example.....if you look at elementary schools in US, some are very good and some are just ok. What school does is matters only 20%. 80% is because of theparents who take special care in their child's education. My kid goes to top school but their teaching is just average. As they have to make sure that the dumbest kid in the class also gets it. But that school still earns top scores because of Indian parents. We send them to Kumon, sit with them, help them with Math and explain them how to do things properly. If everyone depends on the school and keep blaming them, change won't happen.

 

Similarly, we have to take action. Government cannot do a lot of things because of dumb population. Reservation for example, if they try to remove it , they will lose power.

They can't remove subsidies for farming because of farmers. Farming needs to be done only if it is profitable, otherwise its called begging. India will get better if farmers who depend on handouts stop farming. It will make way for companies to farm at scale and generate profits using heavy machinery. This will also make government divert money into Education and Industries which give higher returns.

What can a common man do? All he needs to do is to look for win win situations while making big purchases. Like....buy Indian made electric cars, get solar panels installed.

People blame government when there is power cut. But how many instal solar panels eventhough govt is giving awesome subsidy?

whatever s you prefer. People may choose to not buy an ev for a wide variety of reasons and its honestly their choice on where they want to spend their money. Affordability is also something that one has to look at. Not everyone has spending power to purchase solar panels as well. Is the govt giving 100% subsidy for these initiatives?

And do you think the electricity that is used to charge these vehicles is all 100% clean energy?
