The guy questioning tried the classic method of discrediting the other person before making his statements. The person responding handled it really well and I find his argument perfect. We do not know anything about what happened 800000 yrs before that. What matters is recent years and how environment is impacted now. Several factors changed from then to now.

All the emissions that California saved over decades must have gone to dustbin with single wildfire. It's futile to think we can somehow manage climate.

Ademo kani Global temperatures raised more than 1.5, just few years ago countries agreed to work on their carbon footprint/reducing fossil usage etc so that 1.5 degree raise in global temperatures can be avoided as many scientists believe that 1.5 is a point of no return I.e there will be consequences. And we successfully crossed it, and then Thatha making US back off from the Paris Climage Agreement is a nail in the coffin. 
The reality is far more closer than one think to Don’t look up.
