you may be subjected to extra check up at the gate

If its BA both arrival and departure will be in Terminal 5. However, Terminal 5 has 3 concourses 5A, 5B and 5C(similar to Concourses in Atlanta where an underground train takes you between concourses). Expect extra security checks at the departing gate for flights to US.

LHR treats flights from / to India as 3rd class citizens.

- no gate, you need to take a bus on runway on tarmac

- even if the same terminal, you need to go through security again, no liquids ( very strict) etc... why?

- some times another security check and humiliation just before the gate
