  1. 1. Are you scared of generative AI ? w.r.t to coding jobs

    • Yes its coming faster than expected with agentic ai we devs might be irrelvant
    • No Companies are boasting a lot its just a glorified search engine giving results
    • Yes its a fear but if we can upskill we can fit some where in the ecosystem and run the show
    • It might just increase dev productivity hiring will be less but cannot completely remove developer demand will be less, less pay

AI is scary. It's no joke. I think it will create more jobs, though. Not the other way

Emo anna software dev will nit be high paying job emo anipistundi

Just to lay the context even not digging to deeper agentic ai today some sprints give integration unit test allicate some time , now copilot is giving the test within minutes same with gemini code assistwith all scenarios covered 100% coveragd and covering all scenarios yes you might have to do 15% with more and more dev productivity why will they hire new devs

All these data analyst , data lake cloud services are becoming more efficient

Emo chudalu bro at least i am scared

Inner feeling as well as some thoughts after attending some meetups in bay area

Its going to be disruptive

Hiring of junior/fresh graduate devs will reduce drastically

Startups especially will leverage ai agents for their mvp/initial code and hire less

Offers will be conservative unless you are from MAANG, Uber, Air bnb, Stripe, Jane Street, Coupang etc or a kickass data scientist and ML engineer

Few scenarios that will provide some time are its difficult to offboard and onboard onto new things overnight

Lot of companies like IBM, Dell, Microsoft etc make it very hard to offboard from their offerings and sort of force customers to use their ai offerings. Companies who want to move away cant easily break contracts

One example of how lot of startups are thinking

I usually dont worry too much about sensationalism or disruptions as ppl proclaim but after 6 - 9 months of using them and talking to folks in startups and thop companies, i believe its going to be very brutal

Not everyone is using gen-ai for search

With every iteration, the reasoning of the models are getting better

An example o-3 mini is getting rave reviews for being very close to being accurate on business analytics and research tasks
