China has corruption, US has corruption, Telagana has corruption, Andhra has corruption. UPSC is a different game. UPSC doesn't need you be highly educated. You need to be jack of all trades sort of generalist with some speciality subject to get you marks. That's the nature of examination. If you want to apply the disproportionate representation of State wise population, you say the same about lot of employment across the nation. That's a different topic. I personally don't like it. I feel UPSC needs to be resolved in favour of PCS and lateral appointments state or zonal wise. Also, budget allotment is based who holds power in center, which will be a political entity, NOT UPSC officers. Quote
