Looks like 200,000 are in probation. But some were not fired because they were "mission critical". Quote
11_MohanReddy Posted February 14 Author Report Posted February 14 According to government data, around 220,000 federal employees had less than one year of service in March 2024, the most recent time period available. Quote

11_MohanReddy Posted February 14 Author Report Posted February 14 Just now, enigmatic said: probation ante entry level bacha gallu anukunna No, there are different pay levels. Probation of 1 year after promotion is common but it usually means you will fall 1 step below if you don't pass through the "probation" period. This guy has nearly 20 years experience in the federal government but got promoted less than a year ago. Our department didn't fire probationary employees yet, but apparently they fired a lot of other departments. Quote

At state jobs, even if you are hired or promoted recently you will be on Probation for 1 or 2 years depending on the level...I know a guy who was fired in the last week of his 2 year probation period. It will be hard for them to fire them after the probation period because there is lot of paper work/justifications Edited February 14 by pinnigaaru 1 Quote

Although they could fire the rest of us if they close the center which is likely. Quote
