Musk has suffered severe bouts of back and neck pain; he would end up having three operations to try to repair his C5-C6 intervertebral disc.
During meetings at the Tesla or SpaceX factories, he would sometimes lie flat on the floor with an ice pack at the base of his neck.

Devastated by the breakup with Amber Heard and the news that his father had a child with the woman he had raised as his stepdaughter, Musk went through periods when he oscillated between depression, stupor, giddiness, and manic energy.Professionally and emotionally, the summer of 2017 through the fall of 2018 would be the most hellacious period of his life, even worse than the crises of 2008.

When he reached the milestone of turning fifty on June 28, 2021, he had just undergone a third neck surgery to ease the pain from the injury that happened when he tried to take down a sumo wrestler at his forty-second birthday party.

Musk babai has lifelong addiction to video games @krishnaaa

Quote

Errol was bizarrely averse to computers, claiming they were good only for time-wasting games, not engineering. After he aced a programming skills test at his school, he got an IBM PC/XT and taught himself to program using Pascal and Turbo C++.  At age thirteen, he was able to create a video game, which he named Blastar, using 123 lines of BASIC and some simple assembly language to get the graphics to work.
Thus began a lifelong addiction to video games.

Musk had enjoyed all types of video games as a teenager in South Africa, including first-person shooters and adventure quests,
but at college he became more focused on the genre known as strategy games, ones that involve two or more players competing to build
an empire using high-level strategy, resource management, supply-chain logistics, and tactical thinking.

Elon’s favorite new video-game obsession, Polytopia in 2020
In 2021, he became obsessed with a new multiplayer strategy game on his iPhone, Polytopia.
In it, players choose to be one of sixteen characters, known as tribes, and compete to develop technologies, corner resources,
and wage battles in order to build an empire.
Shivon Zilis downloaded it onto her phone so they could play together.
He also convinced Grimes to download the game. “He doesn’t have hobbies or ways to relax other than video games,” she says
During one game when they had agreed to be a united front against other tribes, she surprise-attacked him with a flame ball.
“It was one of our biggest fights ever,” she remembers. “He took it as this deep betrayal moment.”
Grimes protested it was only a video game and not a big deal. “It’s a huge *** deal,” he told her. He did not speak to her for the rest of the day.

Whose Company Really is Tesla ?  @krishnaaa

Quote

Both Eberhard and Musk considered themselves to be the main founder of Tesla.
Eberhard says, Elon was just a board member and investor.
At first this difference in perspective was not a big problem.
“I was running SpaceX,” Musk says, “and I had no desire to also run Tesla.”
He was happy, at least initially, to be the board chair and let Eberhard be CEO.
For the first year or so, Musk and Eberhard got along. Eberhard handled the daily management of Tesla at its headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Musk spent most of his time in Los Angeles and made visits only about once a month for board meetings or important design reviews.
The problems began when Eberhard had a falling-out with Ian Wright, who had been part of the founding team.
Their disagreements became so intense that each tried to convince Musk to fire the other.
Musk called Straubel for advice. “Okay, who should we pick here?” he asked.
Straubel replied that neither choice was great, but when pressed he advised, “
Maybe Martin is the lesser of two evils.”
Musk ended up firing Wright, but the situation deepened his doubts about Eberhard.
It also prompted him to become more involved in the management of Tesla.
Tarpenning was acting as the company’s chief financial officer, even though his expertise was in computer software and not finance.

A lawsuit settlement agreed to by Eberhard and Tesla in September 2009 allows
all five – Eberhard, Tarpenning, Wright, Musk, and Straubel – to call themselves co-founders.

Looking at your posts, I find it difficult to trust that you have read the book. Book readers usually know both sides of the story.
It also looks like you were looking for all the negative points that can be associated to Elon in order to win the argument which isn't the right way to debate.
The way I usually debate is when I search for information, I first look for data that contradicts my assumption. I always hope that I lose the argument so that I can learn more from it. To get to the place where I am, I was lucky that to have lost lots of debates.

Anyways, coming to Elon or any great person, you will have to acknowledge that no one is perfect.
You cannot expect someone who runs Tesla, SpaceX, Boring, Neuralink and Twitter to have a balanced lifestyle like an employee who does 9-5, goes home and spends time with family.
Even directors and VPs in companies have stressfull lives.

If you look at Elon's childhood, you already know that his father is not a good person. He has had a chaotic childhood where he was bullied and beaten several times because of his nerdiness. Chaos became his natural environment. This is the reason as to why he keeps going into crisis mode.

He doesn't like his father because of all the bad things he had done. He cut him off after the incident you mentioned.  Since he had all the bad things being done around him, he wanted to do the opposite and save humanity. He went though lot of emotional turmoil because of his father due to which his natural defense mechanism started reducing his emotions to prevent them from hurting him. This made him more logical. You can't punish Elon for the stuff that his father did. You have no idea how many people on this forum have bad parents.

Similarly, having neck and back or other health issues isn't something that impacts his character. Infact, he is admirable doing what he does even with all the issues he has been having.

As you already have the book with you, go back and reread the Tesla episode. Tesla would never have worked out if it wasn't for Elon.

Also listen to his interviews and see how he openly accepts if anyone points out that he was wrong. As I said before, he is logical. And he thinks everything based on first principles. Very few people do that.

If you observe most ppl and watch them closely, you will see they have a lot of qualities from their parents. You will notice that in your kids too.

Chances are that elons kids inherit their intelligence. A lot depends on moms genes too. Probably 50% of elons kids must be smart

As I already said....Elon is not a happy person. He himself said that nobody should live like him. He had a very tough childhood.

Even Shakespeare wasn't a happy person.

We are talking about his character and his intent to do good towards humanity. Elon cofounded Open AI to be opensource and non profit only because he feared Google AI was closed and was a risk to society(He was called speciest by Google cofounder when he talked about safeguards for Humans). He fought with Sam Altman becauseOpen AI was becoming for profit. You ignored all this.

Sorry to say....This actually makes YOU the bad person.

personal comments vadileee baa...

enti he fought Sam altman to stop becoming for profit aaa? Just only for that reason ? joke aaa then why did he start his own for-profit, open-source artificial-intelligence company, xAI?  Musk hoped he would become a serious rival to Altman, but didn’t even become a nuisance.  😄

Following Altman’s announcement of the Stargate data center initiative at the White House, Musk makes an unsolicited bid to buy OpenAI’s assets and ofcourse got rejected by Sam Altman.

Is Elon Musk a bad parent? Experts say being the world's richest man isn’t enough for his 13 kids

Elon Musk has long been an advocate for increasing birth rates, but the revelation that he has fathered his 13th child, with conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair, has reignited debates about family, marriage, and the responsibilities of parenthood.

The news triggered sharply divided reactions, particularly among conservatives. Some, like former Representative Matt Gaetz, praised the child’s "incredible genetics." Others, however, criticised Musk’s approach to fatherhood, questioning the absence of a stable, traditional family structure. Former Turning Point USA staffer Jon Root voiced his frustration, stating: “Much of conservatism is filled with godless hypocrites who couldn’t care less about conserving traditional family values.”

To examine this divide, Politico Magazine spoke with Brad Wilcox, a sociologist at the University of Virginia and a vocal advocate for marriage as a stabilising force. Wilcox acknowledged Musk’s enthusiasm for fatherhood but cautioned that wealth alone is insufficient to ensure a child’s well-being. “Wealthy kids raised in non-intact families are more likely to flounder compared to those raised in stable, two-parent households,” he explained.

Marriage and Family Stability

Wilcox’s perspective is grounded in decades of research suggesting that children in stable, two-parent households generally fare better across various life metrics. “Kids raised in stable marriages are more likely to graduate from college, experience less depression, and stay out of legal trouble,” he said. While he appreciates Musk’s pro-natalist stance—the belief that societies should encourage higher birth rates—Wilcox argues that Musk overlooks the vital role of marriage in creating social stability.

The divide over Musk’s parenting isn’t just about him—it highlights an ideological rift among conservatives. Silicon Valley’s pro-natalists often focus on increasing birth rates without prioritising traditional family structures, while pro-family conservatives insist that marriage is the foundation of a strong society. “If you want to boost birth rates in the U.S., you should also focus on making marriage more accessible and appealing,” Wilcox asserted.

The Role of Genetics, Wealth, and Parenthood

One striking aspect of the reaction to Musk’s latest child was the emphasis on genetics. Gaetz’s comment about "incredible genetics" reflects a growing sentiment on the right that prioritises heredity and financial security over traditional family structure. Wilcox, however, refutes this notion: “Some believe that having the right genes or enough money is all that matters. But research shows that even wealthy children struggle without an intact family.”

Musk’s approach to fatherhood has often raised eyebrows. While he has publicly expressed love for his children, reports suggest he has limited involvement in their daily lives. His eldest daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, legally changed her name in 2022, stating in court documents that she no longer wished “to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.” In 2024, she went further, publicly criticising Musk’s parenting style and comments about her gender identity, saying: “He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there.”

The Evolution of Conservative Family Values

Conservative attitudes toward family have evolved significantly over the decades. Social conservatives, influenced by figures like James Dobson in the 1970s and 80s, strongly emphasised traditional marriage. Today, the Republican Party is a diverse coalition, encompassing both religious conservatives and figures like Musk, who promote large families without necessarily upholding traditional structures. “The new right includes Barstool conservatives, nationalists, and an anti-woke coalition,” Wilcox observed. “Not all of them are socially conservative.”

While some, like Senator JD Vance, advocate for a return to traditional family values, others, including Musk, favour economic and technological solutions to demographic decline. Some conservatives argue that Musk’s approach represents a pragmatic adaptation to modern realities, where marriage rates are falling and non-traditional family structures are becoming more common.

Elon Musk’s Children: Names, Ages, and Their Mothers

Musk's first marriage was to Justine Musk (née Wilson), a Canadian author, in 2000. The couple had six children together, but their firstborn, Nevada Alexander Musk, tragically passed away from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) at just ten weeks old. They later divorced in 2008.

Following his divorce from Justine, Musk married British actress Talulah Riley in 2010. Their relationship was marked by two marriages and two divorces, first divorcing in 2012, remarrying in 2013, and finally divorcing again in 2016.

Musk was also in a highly publicised relationship with actress Amber Heard in 2017, though the romance was short-lived. More recently, he has been linked to musician Grimes and Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink executive.

Elon Musk has fathered 13 children with four different women. Here’s a breakdown of his children and their respective mothers:

With Justine Musk:

  • Nevada Alexander Musk (Born 2002)-Tragically passed away at 10 weeks old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
  • Griffin Musk (Born 2004) – One of the twins conceived through IVF.
  • Vivian Jenna Wilson (Born 2004) – Griffin’s twin, who legally changed her name and gender in 2022, distancing herself from Musk.
  • Kai Musk (Born 2006) – One of the triplets conceived via IVF.
  • Saxon Musk (Born 2006) – Another triplet.
  • Damian Musk (Born 2006) – The third triplet.

With Grimes (Claire Boucher):

  • X Æ A-Xii (Born 2020) – Originally named X Æ A-12, but the name was slightly modified due to Californian naming laws.
  • Exa Dark Sideræl Musk (Born 2021) – Commonly referred to as "Y," born via surrogate.
  • Techno Mechanicus (Date of Birth Unclear) – Also known as "Tau."

With Shivon Zilis:

Strider Musk (Born 2021) – A twin born via IVF.
Azure Musk (Born 2021) – Strider’s twin.
Unknown Name (Born 2024)- The name and gender of this child have not been publicly disclosed.

With Ashley St. Clair

Unknown Name (Born September 2024)- St. Clair announced in February 2025 that she and Musk had a child together, choosing to keep the news private initially to protect their child's privacy and safety.

Can the Conservative Coalition Hold Together?

The rift between pro-natalist and pro-family conservatives could widen in the coming years. However, Wilcox believes its severity depends on how Democrats position themselves. “If Democrats moderate on cultural issues, it could shift the balance. But as long as the left continues to embrace more radical social positions, the right’s broad coalition is likely to hold together.”
