Why there is enormous divorce rate in telugu states ??

The rise in divorce rates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana can be attributed to several social, economic, and cultural shifts. Some of the key reasons include:

1. Increased Financial Independence of Women

More women are getting educated and joining the workforce, which gives them financial security. They are no longer forced to stay in unhappy marriages due to financial dependence.

2. Changing Social Norms

Traditional societal pressure to "adjust" in marriage is reducing. Younger generations, especially in urban areas, prioritize personal happiness over societal expectations.

3. Influence of Urbanization & Western Lifestyles

Cities like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam have seen rapid urbanization. Exposure to modern lifestyles and social media has influenced people’s perspectives on relationships and marriage.

4. Reduced Tolerance for Abuse & Toxic Relationships

There is more awareness about mental health, domestic violence, and toxic relationships. Women, in particular, are no longer willing to endure emotional or physical abuse.

5. Love Marriages & Compatibility Issues

Compared to previous generations, love marriages and inter-caste marriages have increased. However, many couples realize post-marriage that they are incompatible due to different backgrounds, expectations, or family pressures.

6. Increased Legal Awareness & Simplified Divorce Laws

Legal processes for divorce have become more straightforward, and people are more aware of their rights. The stigma around divorce is also decreasing.

7. Work-Life Stress & Lack of Time for Relationships

Fast-paced careers, especially in IT hubs like Hyderabad, are leading to work-life imbalances, causing strain in marriages.

8. Rising Ego Clashes & Expectations

With both partners being equally ambitious and career-driven, there are more ego clashes, and small issues escalate quickly into major conflicts.

9. Social Media & Extramarital Affairs

The rise of social media, dating apps, and opportunities for online interactions have led to an increase in extramarital affairs, trust issues, and misunderstandings in marriages.

10. Interference of Families

While joint family traditions are fading, family interference in personal matters still plays a big role in many divorces. Issues related to in-laws and dowry disputes are still prevalent in some cases.

Would you like insights on a specific aspect, like legal processes, social impact, or coping strategies?

1,2,3 main reasons with 10 being more of auxillary one.

But it's going to get even worse. Because with the growing gender disparity more girls being born  and less boys, it's going to be even more hypergamous. Few good looking rich boys are going to go for a kill. I wouldn't be surprised if they bonk 10s of girls all of them even in two tier towns.
