No ,they can't ,Brahmins are a distinct caste .

Brahmins are the top of indo-aryan class stratification hierarchy .initially it had only 2 Brahmins and Kshatriyas,vaishyas were commoners and were added later.

In south india all the communities claiming kshatriya ,vaishya are bogus claims ,Brahmins are the only ones that belong to Varna system as they are migrants from north india ,we don't have chaturvarna system in south india.
