Storage units???

i have my new home getting ready in May. Current apt lease ends in this month. Going to india trip for next 2 months…

wondering if i can get storage unit for 2 months and keep all my stuff there after vacating my apt until i come back from india.

is it good idea instead of taking another short term lease apt?

Storage unit is the right option. Cheaper too. They usually have good deals. Check the ones in your local area.

valuables like gold/documents keep in a bank locker.

When you come back for closing, stay in a hotel for 2-3 days and move stuff to garage/home and settle down

that is exactly what i did anna. i sold whatever old furniture to save on storage unit space.

some storage units are located inside the building and some outside. 

Look for inside/indoors.....outdoors vi temp controlled undavu. So extreme heat / cold etc ki nee stuff damage avvochu chusuko

sell your old crap do not have mercy on that... buy the storage space of minimum of 4 months kakkurthi padaku.. call your developer whether there dates are finalized or not. Move out all your things minus garbage... then go to India... do not brag about the new home there .. this will avoid attracting jealousy with in your siblings or close relatives... Speak as much negative as you can.. another important thing is LIMIT YOUR WIFE ON BRAGGING ....

You might save $1500 to 2000 at most but its a hassle to move everything in a storage unit again move them to new house.
