We asked HR to post a position in market.  They got 1800 applications for this one position.

Now every position they are posting. They are trying to get internal candidates before going external.

This position doesn't offer sponsorship.  I am still surprised that number is big.

I don't have visibility of 1800 resumes. But they short listed 10 of them, which they said will share with US.

Most of the resumes are automatically applied by bot..no one cares sponsorship is there or not just apply..I'm sure maximum not with your requirements

Yeah . But this will affect genuine candidates. Hr said they have to deal with this big number
