The fact on the ground is Russia gained territory and Ukraine lost. Most of that territory will be incorporated into Russia. That's a win in the war. Russia fights asymmetric war. If Russian tech is so outdated why is China and India buying S400 systems? Why is India buying Sukhois and is actively deployed them? Russia still has the largest nuclear arsenal in the world. Russian military might is what stopped Obama from taking over Syria from Assad. Even when Assad regime fell down it's only after Russia pulled it's support.
