Hi Dbians,

On H1b can an employee be on unpaid leave for 30days without being terminated. FT kadhu contracting job lo.

FMLA family care kinda can leave of absence chupinchavacha. Employer can provide a letter with start date and end date or any violation of H1b kinda consider avthunda.?

You need to show proof from your doctor for FMLA

Employer ni aa letter badhulu paycheck run cheyamanu…FMLA is partially paid by insurance company subscribed by your employer and they ask for some kind of document from doctor, vallu pay chesina dhaniki w2 or a similar form kuda pampistharu for tax filing purpose

H-1B visa holders are generally eligible to take Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, and maintain their H-1B status, to the same extent as other employees at their company. Eligibility Eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for serious health conditions Employees can continue their group health insurance coverage while on leave Employees can resume work for their employer after the leave ends Documentation To maintain status, employees can provide documents showing they were on FMLA leave An employer can provide a letter stating that the employee remains employed but is on leave Employees should gather relevant documents, such as medical records, birth certificates, and sections of their employer's employee benefit plan Other considerations Employees should not take more leave than is usually allowed other employees The leave approval and its length should be in line with the employer's standard leave policy The U.S. government does not look kindly on placing H-1B visa holders on unpaid leave without a good reason
