His F-1 visa was canceled at Abu Dhabi pre-clearance, leaving him stranded in India and separated from his wife. Meanwhile, his wife was cleared to travel, forcing him to visit the US embassy and give the interview again. Further explaining his ordeal, the man wrote, “They analyzed I have insufficient proof of my work that I was doing, though I had all the supporting documents like EAD, job offer letter, vacation approval letter, valid i-20. Many pointed out that long wait times in India could ruin his OPT status. And even if he gets the interview his visa getting “canceled” and not “canceled without prejudice” could threaten his future approvals.
