Air India flight returns hours into journey after rags, cothes and plastic bags clogs toilets

A subsequent investigation into the incident revealed that “polythene bags, rags, and clothes” among other items had been flushed down the lavatories and “stuck in the plumbing,” the statement read.

The situation unfolded as the plane, a Boeing 777-300ER, was over the Atlantic, but because of restrictions on nightly operations at European airports, a decision was made to return to Chicago.

 

“The decision to divert was taken entirely in the interest of passenger comfort and safety,” the spokesperson said.
 

The spokesperson noted that this wasn’t the first time foreign objects were found on Air India toilets –– “blankets, innerwear, and diapers, among other waste have been flushed down toilets on other flights.”

Later a video was released, where technicians retrieves polytene bag and towel from the clogged toilets…

Oke sari 8 toilets clogged and similar items found stuffed in all the clogged toilets raises a suspicion..

Good that it happened in US, now NTSB will take up the case and see what went wrong…

Likely sabotage. Passengers profile haven't changed much. AI is upgrading its fleet off late. Once new flights replace the existing old ones, AI will likely take away good share from Middle Eastern Airways (Qatar, Etihad, Emirates, and Turkish). Indigo on the other hand works with these airways. 

Negative feedback loop is constantly being fed. Also, AI will replace lot of existing staff as they had to keep them due to conditional sunset clauses in purchase agreement. It's not hard to see how things got transpired.

All passengers on that flight should be vetted for their interesta if anyone was paid by or is a social media influencer, who was planning to make the video of blocked toilets had the journey continued
