GC to American Citizen..owning farm lands in India

@RPGPulka @Sucker @perugu_vada @Spartan uncles I will be eligible to apply for naturalization in an year or so..I have some doubts regarding owning farmsland/Plots owning them after I became citizen...I don't have any plans to buy new but already unnavi ok na? like wife name meeda na name meeda...lets say each ok 7 acres undocha..any experience?

H1 lo unnapude yiu are not eligible.. you can own inherited land but not directly bought on ur name

nope even on H1 you are considered NRI

Anna im asking about if I became citizen....I can still own my lands what ever on my name kada?

I am a dusali fellow as well my priority date was in 2010 ...got my GC during the covid..

we got them via gift registration only like parents transferred them to our names when we were on H1b

depends on when you bought it.

omce yiu leave India and stay outside for work visa more than 180 days you are considered NRI

gift registration is inheritance 

that is allowed, you can hold it

ok...everything (like plots/farm land) was via gift registration when we were on H1bs..so there is no limit on how much you can right like...not more than these many acres..

nope , but there are some regulation if you are selling them. 

uou should sell them to only Indian citizens, nee kids ki transfer chesina same rules apply
