Even if He could ,He has no main reason to oppose bjp ,he opposes congress because congress carries a threat to replace his party in the state.

Baboru is just stalling for time while his party is slowly integrating into bjp school of thought,baboru,pappu are just spewing bjp narratives like bjp party workers.

CBN is not an amazing political strategist nor has charishma to attact people ,but he has a lot of patience ,he likes stalling ,does the bare minimum and hopes for some outside miracle/support or mistakes from opponents.he never takes a strong stand on anything.

Second one is where I think slightly different. Baboru only goal is to ensure succession of TDP goes to Lokesh and get maximum profit out of Amravathi.  

Because he can't win against Jagan he had to surrender to BJP for EVM help. There is no other way one can explain why Baboru had to bend so much despite extra ordinary numbers in AP. But Baboru is also calculative man. His loyalty never stays with BJP as BJP gives Baboru an existential threat due to it's  possibility of consolidating BCs and Kapus votes under Hinduism banner, but also can't revolt as time is not right. BJP knows this too. Which is why it's soliciting the services of "Paleru". It's like Baboru has to stay with Pakkalo ballem.  They can let Jagan come back to power, but they can't control him like they control "Paleru" and Baboru.

Yes that's what I am saying , he is stalling for time hoping for some shift in dynamics ,because he has no other choice. I have been seeing the same since forever ,he puts nominal effort and hopes for a change in dynamics ,he doesn't like to take a strong stand on anything because he depends on external factors and noone knows how external environment will be.thats why he couldn't even take a strong stance during A.P seperation .

Bjp is slowly trying to come into andhra using JSP while baboru is trying to resist it by becoming a slave to them(bare minimum/ easiest thing he could do to survive ) hoping for a change in dynamics soon so he can capitalise on that.for example something like internal conflict in bjp which he can capitalise on.

Also he is much more desperate than jagan cause he is old and has to make sure lokesh gets into the seat while jagan doesn't need to worry about all that.
