21 days is a bit too extreme without supervision...i was suggest to go max of 7 days...need to plan on doing it sometime this year

21 days is too extreme - it is just that there are people who have done it - and I perhaps took a risky call - I do need to watch for my health carefully and avoid "re-feeding syndrome".

7 days sounds good to me. You may even want to start with 3 days and slowly and gradually increase it if you want to.

Autophagy will probably start around day 3 - to put it is simple words - since you are no longer eating - your body focuses on other important activities like cleaning up dead cells or renew cells - this typically does not happen when you are eating food everyday since the body is more focused on digesting food.

I am not sure if there's any test to prove it - it just is universally accepted that this happens.

I am scared of dry fasting bro. Food lekapothey parledu ikaani water kuda lekapothey - I am just scared - but that is just me though.

All these are temporary. Once you start consuming solids you will gain quickly.

Not necessarily - once you resume eating - it does need to be in measured quantities. There's plenty of people who have done this and got good results.

The question is more mental than physical.

Hmm atb. If you can walk or run daily and maintain food, heavy breakfast, afternoon soup, even two chapati also works. Only on water not sure how body parts function in long run, don’t know the theory here.

You are right though - this is not for everyone - I mentioned in my OP that I did consult my physician before I started and even she was not exactly enthused by it.  So she simply told me if you do want to go ahead and do it - make sure you have enough electrolytes in your body.

There are so many variables - like if you have any health conditions like diabetes etc., not at all a good idea. Overall people need to do their own research - SPEAK to health professionals and do this carefully.
