her logic is sound, right? Rent money ni dooram ayina velli sontha intlo pettukunta ani. Chala mandi laaga guntemma korikalu kaavu kada. She has to pay rent anyway.

sounds ok but it’s very risky bro. She got almost 0 savings.. looks like she is already living paycheck to paycheck based on what she said. Mortgage payment will be more for sure because of 5% downpayment and property taxes plus maintenance costs and new 401k loan payments. Credit card debt is 10k and it will only go up because of new stuff for new home.

 With that saying it is doable but super risky without emergency fund.

Mortgage ekkuva vuntundi ani cheppalem kada baa. She may be paying more rent at some hotspot while she may be looking for a home 1hr away for similar mortgage payment. I understand your point about savings and stuff, but she will be shelling out rent anyway.
