What I could interpret is 

Movie is the only entertainment in India, since people dont have big house or any big club houses or visiting live performances they wont travel. 

So for them the cheapest fun is movie 

and in India bad thing is workship of fellow humans treating them like god demigod and ready to do anything for them on name of fan is common. 

But people Come to USA have many options, but stilk with old mindset cant go over it and doing the same stuff !!
