All are in same boat.  Try all options. Get quotes from all. You might get lucky with someone.

Insurance shopping needs a lot of patience. You need to get quotes from multiple providers and compare. I recently switched to All State for homeowners and the premium was about 30% lower compared to others.

try switching insurance to your wife's name and add you as a co-driver. I did same and I got the best deal. what surprised me is, my wife has Learners permit and I have a clean 11 years driving history, they use to charge me 700$ for 6 months and when I changed it to my wife's name who has only permit, they gave 350$ quote for 6 months with same coverage 🤦‍♂️

which agent you got quote from?

contact multiple brokers in your area not a particular insurance company agent. They’ll run quotes for you to choose and pick that works for you, it’s almost always cheaper this way than getting it yourself

Rich id asking for cheap insurance. There is nothing like cheap, how much you paying for 6 months and what is the expectation?

I went through some website that compares auto insurances.

I got the same benefits from the same company for 40% less.
